Complete Review of Funginix
With summer around the corner, many people are looking to start treating their nail fungus so they can show off their feet without judgment. If you were like me then you know that there can be a lot of products on the market and it’s hard to decide which one is best.
As an actual sufferer of nail fungus and user of Funginix, I have compiled all the information I could find about this product and also included my own personal thoughts about the product. Hopefully, you will this information useful and help you decide if Funginix is right for you.
If you are thinking to start any new treatment it is not only important to research the product but also to consult with your medical provider or healthcare professional to ensure it is safe for you to use.
What is Funginix?
Funginix is a topical treatment for nail fungus and the manufacturer states that users can see results within two weeks. The formulation of Funginix is a blend of essential oils and herbal extracts. It is manufactured by a company called Sisquoc Healthcare Inc. located in California.
Ingredients
If you are thinking to begin any new treatment, it is critical to know the ingredients in case there are any possible drug interactions.
Here is a list of the following ingredients:
I also wanted to explain some of the key ingredients that make Funginix effective for nail fungus.
Undecylenic acid – The active ingredient in Funginix that destroys fungi and relieves the itching and burning sensation.
Propolis extract – A powerful extract that naturally inhibits the growth of fungus and protects the nail from future fungi from growing.
Urea – An active chemical that helps fight off fungus infections and found in almost all nail fungal treatments.
Bearberry Extract – An extract that can strengthen and restore the nail to a healthy state.
Sweet Almond Oil – An oil that helps moisturize the skin as well as the nail.
Tea tree oil – A powerful essential oil that is known and studied for it’s antifungal and antibacterial properties.
Does It Work?
One of the most important questions to ask about a treatment is does it work? Well, I have seen personal success with using Funginix but don’t just take my word on it. As mentioned above, the main active ingredient in Funginix is undecylenic acid.
A 2008 study published in a peer-reviewed journal called Foot & Ankle Specialist conducted a test of the effectiveness of undecylenic acid on toenail fungus on 154 patients. The results showed that undecylenic acid got rid of nail fungus in 100% of participants in the study with mild nail fungal infections [1].
From this study, it is safe to say that Funginix works because the active ingredient in this product is undecylenic acid.
How To Use
From my experience, applying Funginix was very straightforward and easy. Funginix topical solution comes with an applicator brush which is great for getting underneath the toenail to the underlying fungus. The manufacturer of the company recommends applying Funginix twice a day.
With this applicator brush, there is a concern about getting the fungus, bacteria, and other microorganisms on it and contaminating the product. If you are concerned about this you can use cotton balls or q-tips to apply that you dispose of after use to ensure that the Funginix solution does not get contaminated.
When Will I See Results?
Results will vary from person to person depending upon how severe their toenail fungus is. But the company that produces Funginix states you can see visible results within 2 weeks.
It could, however, take up to 6 months to fully cure toenail fungus using Funginix. Depending on how many nails are infected, one bottle of Funginix can last for a month or longer.
Side Effects
The manufacturer does not list any possible side effects from using Funginix on the product, packaging, or website.
Personally, I did not experience any after using Funginix for over a month either.
Who Should Not Use Funginix?
Always consult with your doctor or healthcare professional before introducing a new treatment to your body. There are some people who should not use Funginix which includes anyone allergic to any of the product ingredients.
Also, it is not recommended to be used on children. There is a warning on the product to keep away from children and consult with a doctor for children under 2 years old.

User Reviews
There have been a lot of positive reviews and success stories reported from using Funginix.
Other users off of Amazon have said that, “I got a nail fungus after visiting an apparently not so clean nail salon. Took off my nail polish and found white, crumbling, weak, and brittle nails. Bought this and an “EpSoak” Epsom salt with tea tree oil foot soak and have been religious about the soaking/treatments for last 10 days. I’m sure you’ll agree the difference is incredible!! Still not completely gone, but I’m not mortified to wear sandals anymore.”
